Angus Glen community lies within a hidden gem area bordered by 16th Ave to the north, Kennedy Rd to the west, Major Mackenzie Ave to the south, and Warden Ave to the east. Nestled within a natural conservation area, this low-density community consistently ranks among the top in Markham's 40 designated neighborhoods.
THE PAST
The history of Angus Glen begins with Arthur Stollery, the second-generation heir of the upscale menswear store Stollery, founded in 1901. An avid golfer, Arthur purchased this land in 1957 and named it Angus Glen.
THE PRESENT
In 1996, Gordon Stollery, the third-generation head of the Stollery family, developed Angus Glen East Village. This development comprises 500 residences and embraces the concept of "New Urbanism" housing, marking the beginning of Angus Glen's modern era.
THE FUTURE
With the approval of the South Village Master Plan, Angus Glen will continue to evolve, developing into a luxurious residential area along 16th Ave, adjacent to Cachet and Devils Elbow. While a high-density zone is planned for the southern edge, the rest of Angus Glen will retain its low to medium-density character. The opening of the first phase of the South Village in 2023, featuring high-end properties, further enhances the community's prestige.
Positioned at the northwest corner of 16th Ave and Kennedy Road, The Unionville Condominium is the only mid-rise luxury condo development currently underway in the area. This exclusive development offers residents the convenience of condo living within a luxurious low-density neighborhood. With 270 families opting for The Unionville Condominium, they choose a maintenance-free, upscale lifestyle and become part of Angus Glen's legacy. Upon completion, these residents will be among just 3000 households, continuing the storied history of Angus Glen.
